“After a divorce, losing a home within 5 years of living in it, and facing a chronic illness that led to major surgery, I struggled to make ends meet and to pay my medical costs. I did the best I could to see to it that my daughter had a good place to live and complete college. She was my caregiver after major surgery at the age of 22 years, and in college. It was not easy at all for her, and she cried many times at night. She had said, because it was a heavy load. I prayed to the Lord for a home we could call our own, and that could be passed along to my daughter, because of all she has done for me.
Our rent where we live now has increased twice within a 1 year with new management. From 2016 to the present, rent has gone from $600 to (projected) $1300/$1400 by this August. I do have one biological son and 2 stepsons who have families of their own, and I do not ask them for help since times can be hard with raising children. I look to God, and He always provides.
