To celebrate this milestone, we are giving back to the place that has given us so much. Through the Bray Cares Foundation, we are inviting our entire community to help raise $80,000 for local organizations addressing housing-related needs.

Bray & Company covers the administrative fees associated with the Bray Cares Foundation. That means 100% of every donation supports grants to local 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations addressing housing-related needs throughout the Grand Valley.

These grants can help organizations:

How much of my donation supports local nonprofits?
One hundred percent. Bray & Company pays the administrative fees associated with the Bray Cares Foundation. That means none of your donation is used to cover those costs—100% supports local nonprofit grantmaking.

How are grant recipients selected?

Who manages the Bray Cares Foundation?
Bray Cares is a donor-advised fund operating under the Western Colorado Community Foundation. The Community Foundation provides professional administration and oversight, while Bray & Company covers the associated administrative fees.

The 80 Years, $80K campaign runs through December 31, 2026.

When the Grand Valley Stepped Up

More Than $75,000 Raised in One Week for HomewardBound

In October 2025, HomewardBound faced the weekend closure of its emergency shelter because of a funding shortfall. Bray Cares responded with a $20,000 matching contribution, helping inspire local businesses, organizations and individual donors to step forward.

Local news covered the effort as donations surpassed $60,000. By the end of the week, the community had raised more than $75,000, helping HomewardBound keep its shelter available seven days a week through the winter.

It was a powerful example of what can happen when the Grand Valley comes together—and the kind of local impact Bray Cares hopes to continue through the 80 Years, $80K campaign.
